Sara Chong Kwan

I am a freelance fashion journalist and stylist, currently working as Fashion Editor for Hotel du Vin and Malmaison Magazines and writing for Insight City News. This involves creating the fashion pages from concept, copy, picture research and commissioning and styling photography to advising with layout ideas.

I also consult for fashion labels (Britta Boyer) and boutiques, incl.on-line, on all aspects from pr, marketing, design research and development to interiors.

I have my own e-commerce boutique, garden-boutique.com and before moving into fashion journalism, previously owned Garden Boutique in Brighton. This has given me retail business knowledge, plus top level buying experience, and a great knowledge of and contacts with mid range designers in the fashion Industry (Europe wide).

I am also developing my own fashion imagery working with art based photographers.

I moved into fashion from Marketing after going back to study Fashion Design at Central St Martins and graduating with a 1st Class honours degree in 2001.

I am currently looking for more exciting, high quality fashion editorial work, both writing and styling. I am also interested in trend research and consulting for dynamic fashion labels.

Her features are invariably excellent, well-received by the client and readers - and have lead to an increase in advertising!
