Kate Benjamin

I have worked as a freelance print designer & artworker, predominantly in the Brighton area, but also in London and Auckland, for the past eight years. I divide my time between working in-house for various design agencies and working directly for my own clients.

In the last three years, the majority of my in-house freelance work has been with two agencies, Poynings-based Harrison & Co and Brighton-based, Wild Dog Design. During this time I have also worked with Designate, Killer Creative, Mosaic, Door 22, One Digital and 48 Fitzroy. My own clients have included Friends of the Earth, The Body Shop, Connect Publications, Noolibird and various other smaller companies and organisations. I have also recently completed the design and production of an 152 page coffee-table book for Zap Art and QueenSpark Books on behalf of Harrison & Co. In 2005 I spent six months overseas, this included four months in New Zealand where I worked for M&C Saatchi, Auckland.

I feel my particular skills lie in my ability to see a project, large or small, through from the creative brief right through to print ready artwork. Although I love the creative side of my work I also take great pride in some serious artworking as I believe it goes hand in hand with good design.
