PROFILE
Anna started becoming interested in Lomography early last year after her digital camera broke – she decided to try something new and a new obsession with old cameras and vintage photography was born.
Lomo cameras are chucky old refurbished 'point and shoot' cameras from the communist times in Russia. Lomo cameras take rich, vivid, blurred, colour-intense and atmospheric images. The Lomography movement is made up of a community of Lomographers who's mission it is to document the world through the lens' of these tough little cameras. It was started when some Viennese art students were traveling through Russia and found one of the cameras in a junk shop. They were enchanted by the wonderful images these cameras create and they sourced and refurbished all the Lomo LC-A cameras they could and started the Lomographic Society.
Since snapping with the Lomo, Anna has photographed the B-Side music nights of the Brighton based charity Bottletop and various Brighton bands. The images capture the atmosphere of the nights in a rich and colourful way.
Anna's day job is at the Brighton Social Media agency Nixon McInnes, where she Account Manages key clients and consults and enthuses about Social Media and online marketing.
